The Best Marijuana Grading System

marijuana grading system

There really is no universal or standardized marijuana grading system yet. Each cannabis market around the world measures quality by their own unique names, symbols or words. Whether it’s the “A” grading system used today, or just knowing that one strain name is superior to any other, all grading system terminology is colloquial.

To put it briefly, there’s a shit ton of criteria to take into account. It’s kind of like how Mexican Spanish is different from Spain Spanish which is also different from Colombian Spanish. The keyword here is DIALECT… weed dialect.

In this article, I will outline the old and the new BC Bud grading system made famous by chronics out of British Columbia’s famous growing regions such as Vancouver Island, the Fraser Valley, the Golden Mile, Sunshine Coast, and the Kootenays. Then I will outline Primo’s 9 Point Marijuana Grading System near the end.

The distribution and production from these areas in relation to it are varying in quality that has evolved 10 fold from the ‘90s until today. But back then there were only 3 tiers: singles, dubs, and trips.

1. Singles ($1500-2000 USD a pound)
Examples: Big Bud & Juicy Fruit

2. Dubs ($2000-2500 USD a pound)
Examples: Holland & Hashplant

3. Trips ($2500-3000 USD a pound)
Examples: Biker Hashplant (top strain) & Purple Haze

How BC Grades Weed Today

Let’s fast forward to 2019 and take a super quick look at the silly grading system we have today.

“Dub” weed is low quality

“Trips” are medium quality

“Quads” are top notch quality

There’s no longer a single because what fun are singles in a recreational market where people are trying to get as blasted as possible. Also, strain types are no longer constrained to a quality stamp. Now you have 100 different Pink Kush growers that are spread across all qualities, provinces, and growing experience.

For example, a Pink Kush is no longer just a Pink Kush. A Pink Kush can be a dub, a trip, or a quad and now the growers are smartening up and branding the strain by adding an additional adjective into the strain name… for example, “Stinky Pink Kush”… lol.

PRIMO’S 9 POINT MARIJUANA GRADING SYSTEM

So let’s go through some of the criteria that we think should be included in every grading dialect around the globe. Once we have all the quantitative information required to assess the strain, we need to look at qualitative elements, because the BC Bud lingo as mention above with dubs, trips, and quads, is a little deceptive.

1. Cannabinoid profile: which cannabinoids are in the plant, and at what percentage, this should include at least: THC-A, THC, CBD-A, CBD, CBN, THC-V, CBG, and CBC.

2. We need a comprehensive terpene profile. There’s no ongoing standard here yet, but the top 10 would suffice. On top of that profile, we should be considering the total terpene content since a profile can be misleading if there’s only a .01% total terpene content.

3. The moisture content. This will range so much between when the flower was delivered to when it is sold, so it’s important that the jar in which the flower is stored has a hygrometer on the lid.

4. Does it burn white ash or black ash? Sometimes black ash can imply flushing problems. Other times black ash can imply bad rolling papers.

5. When you burn a joint or rip a bowl is the smoke nice and thick yet smooth or does it burn the fuck out of your throat? If it’s the latter then the flower was not rinsed and cured properly. Not premium

6. Are the buds dense and manicured? Does this even matter due to the genetically inherited structure of the plant genome? Being that Indica strains are denser and round versus tall and whispery Sativa strains. Is it fair to call a dense nug more superior than a less dense nug?

7. Are the buds consistent shape/size or are there some that are beautiful and others in the same jar that are ugly? Again, strain genes might play into this as not all strains have giant kolas to rock with.

8. How has the plant been handled? If you look at it are all the trichome stocks fucked up and janky, or are they intact? Hand trimming will protect the trichs, machine trim will fuck them up. Would a Rolls Royce have the same aura and price tag if it was machine made instead of handmade?

9. Is there evidence of bugs or mould or anything else that would give it a full on F out of 10?

As you can see, it is much more complex than just calling it single-A, AA, AAA, or AAAA.

Pretty soon we’ll have our own rating system on site to help you choose, but for now, use the points above to differentiate good vs bad bud. We’re only touching the tip of the iceberg and would love to get feedback on how deep your criteria goes.

OFFSET JIM BULLIES THE BULLIES ON NO PRESSURE

Offset Jim Review Piece

The NBA Draft assumed its current form, a weighted lottery, in 1990. That just means it’s unequal randomness. The higher draft picks are more likely given to teams that missed the playoffs and posted horrible records last season. It’s not meant to be chaotic, though the first few years of the system tested the limits of its own probability. In 1992, three years after the franchise played its first game, the Orlando Magic drew the first pick and drafted the seven-foot-one-inch center from Louisiana State University named Shaquille O’Neal. Still considered one of the most coveted draft picks to date, he added twenty wins to the dismal team’s record and broke two regulation-size goals in his rookie season. At 41-41, they had the best record of all teams that missed the playoffs and about a percent and a half chance of winning the 1993 first pick. Somehow, they drew it again. The Magic front office did a couple of switcheroos and, after officially drafting Chris Webber of Michigan, landed Memphis guard Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway for the following season. The next three years with Shaq and Penny were the best basketball in Orlando Magic history.

Rappers like to use sports metaphors and that Magic team was known far beyond the Sunshine State, even to a kid named James in “The Twomps” neighbourhood of East Oakland’s San Antonio district. The area stretches the 20s streets and in the last couple of decades, assumed the name “Murder Dubs” because of a rise in violent crime. There’s no draft or lottery for rap, but good music seems to cluster in regions and the Bay Area is one of them. It’s hard to overstate how vital the area’s rhythmic lawlessness has been in the art form’s history—unlike the Orlando Magic to the NBA—but the Bay has been revealing potential stars back-to-back like the ‘92-93 draft. James grew up to be a player in Oakland’s current rotation of hustlers who rap on occasion, except now we call him Offset Jim, and he released a short project at the beginning of February called No Pressure.

offsetjim easy

The twenty-six-year-old rapper’s career was spurred by his childhood friend and fellow Oakland representative, AllBlack. At what was supposed to be a late 2016 listening session for his NOSHAME 2 tape, AllBlack told Jim he wanted him on a track. Jim had been rapping since a teenager, but he says his verse added to Black’s “Noshame” that day was when it got serious. Realizing they have a natural chemistry, the two expanded their friendship and collaboration to include rapping. In April of last year, they released a song called “Penny & Shaq”, codifying their parallel to sports lore. When asked by Thizzler, Jim said that he’s the Penny counterpart and AllBlack jumps on the screen to ask back, “Y’all can’t tell I be dunkin’?”

While AllBlack is known for alert, bullish flows that jut out against the production, Offset Jim glides into the pocket boasting and insulting so casually you don’t even notice he’s actually talking about you. He often sounds disinterested over the No Pressure’s 23 minutes, like he doesn’t have time to tell you to eat at Weenie Hut Jr. or that you snitch like Randall from Recess or that the Runtz is better than the Trainwreck. It’s obligatory bullying—“bullying the bullies” he calls it—that’s only happening because his targets have stepped that far out of line. Producer David Teel, known as DTB, is versatile and gives Jim space on the project to throw his nonchalance over guitar samples (“Same Shit”) and swarming drums (“No Disrespect”). This makes No Pressure equally suited for freeway killing speeds or that playoff push in Madden ‘19. Whether Jim is refusing to “tap in” with your authority (“Tap In”) or riding with two glocks like Max Payne, his honesty and subdued pacing pull your attention and move his music to the foreground when played. He’ll get you to smile at his profit margins and then lean in when he mumbles, “God, forgive for my ways I’m just a victim.” At the end of the title track, Offset Jim synthesizes his rapping and confirms what we knew all along, “this shit easy.”

ORDER PRIMO WEED ONLINE IN CANADA

weed online in canada

A brief history of weed online in Canada.

For now, the world of weed online in Canada is still like the early days of the internet or the frontier Wild West. Demand for dried bud, edibles and weed products—milled powder for cooking—is high, leaving growers and distributors a grand opportunity. And alongside the opportunity to move large sums of product fast, comes also the opportunity to cut corners.

Online Cannabis Canada

The cannabis plant is a complex being, testing it properly and consistently has proven difficult. Origin of a plant, it’s source or efficacy often go unaccounted for so knowing what to look for will save you time and potential health problems, especially if you’re buying from a new or unfamiliar source. So ask questions and do little research. You could even ask for more photos of the product before you trade it for cash and stir it into your mac n’ cheese. Just don’t be shy about testing the knowledge of your supplier.

PRIMO WEED

Growers are not marketing geniuses… actually, those two personalities might be the furthest apart from each other in terms of the way they think and react. We as Canadians want to support independent growers who’ve carried this industry on their backs for 50+ years. Just like our neighbourhood coffee shop and our craft brewery. We’re excited to learn more about the grower, their strains, their perfect curing techniques, and what makes them unique.

How well do you know your green?

The online world is a perfect way to connect cannabis enthusiasts to key topics on how the cannabis conversation should mature. A collective voice from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island and up north to places like the Northwest Territories. Our goal is to grow a like-minded community that can promote a positive, fun, constructive, and motivated cannabis culture.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

There is a lot that goes into producing weed that reaches the quality we all desire – the killer buds that are produced far above all the rest. When you open a bag of Primo cannabis you know it’s killer; the pungent noise, the glittering white frosty trichomes, the spongy/gummy buds with a perfect trim, the white ash that comes from a dedicated flush… this is not a process a producer can learn overnight. A skilled grower could spend decades refining his craft to get to this point and will continually find ways to improve on the next growing cycle – it’s an obsessive passion. Here are some critical steps we look for when sourcing out the best weed on the planet.

THE STRENGTH OF THE STRAIN

If you’re going to order weed online then you MUST trust the provider. This being said, we’ve done extensive research on the best Indica and Sativa flowers that are able to be freshly grown in Canada. Be wary of licensed producers who advertise strains that are not able to be grown in Canada. Order weed online with confidence.

Quality Checklist

Things like whitish transparent lines, silvery marks, or the buds being chalky are reasons to be suspect. Watch for unusual textures or strange looking stems. With so much demand in the Canadian market, massive LP’s are focused on the bottom line, not quality. These suppliers can purposefully affect the product, using “extenders” to increase weight, which could be anything, usually stuff you don’t want to be adding to your body’s natural chemistry. Health Canada has made its attempts to manage this, but that’s like asking your kindergartener to examine your bud for quality assurance.

  • Burns evenly
  • Easy to light
  • Doesn’t burn out
  • Smooth tokes
  • Should not be overly brittle or fall apart easily despite being fluffy
  • Should not have a chemical or a plastic smell when burnt
  • Should not be coated in a crystalline or sandy, powdery substance

EXPERIENCED GROWERS

Just because an LP has a license to grow does not mean they know what they’re doing. It’s like comparing a disgusting restaurant to a world-class restaurant. Both have a license to make and serve food but which one will you choose for your birthday dinner? Obviously, the best option. The person who made your weed should have loved growing it. You know how you can taste the love in your grandmas’ home cooked meal? Well, the same principle applies.

Number 2, your grower needs to have field experience. The pride they show when talking about the product they produce is a necessary sign. The grower will be excited about every step of the growing process. Not only that, they’ll be proud of their facility, their team, and their online/offline licensed producer market. It’s not all about quantity. In fact, a good grower’s priority won’t be yield quantity. Quality is number one, and should always take priority. Right down to the cure, the potency, and the preservation of the flower. So order online with confidence because tested flower has been found to contain everything from moulds, yeast, bacteria like E. coli, salmonella, pesticides, solvents, heavy metals and aflatoxins. Shoe polish, hairspray, talc, wax and different herbs and spices have been found too. If your shit ever tastes like metal, paint or ammonia, stop smoking, start asking questions. Right now it is still vital to forge responsible habits in Canada, build trust in an industry still attached to enormous stigma. Know your dope. Know your sources. Ask questions.

OUR TOP 5 INDICA-DOMINANT FLOWERS

1. Blue Mystic: This flower looks like it was plucked out of a movie. The blue leaves and powdered buds are reminiscent of a sci-fi movie. The sweet and fruity flavours make it a top choice for Indicas and it is hard to match its flavour with any other flower. “Fruity-licious” is its nickname.
2. Grandaddy Purple: This purple Indica strain is a beautiful marriage between Purple Urkle and Big Bud. The actual flower’s buds are fat and lush, not to mention they are filled with a luscious purple hue. This weed is super fruity, very sweet, and straight primo with a sleepy euphoric high and a lot of medicinal relief.
3. Ice Wreck: This potent hybrid can reach up to 28% THC. Let us tell you, it will rock your world with a full body stone that deserves a comfy couch lock and chill. It is the beautiful baby of Trainwreck and Nirvana (a very active Sativa and an ice cold Indica). If you have a ton of chores to do please do not smoke this.
4. Northern Lights: Pure Indicas are something special and this is one of the most famous of all time. It is both sweet in smell and earthy with an aroma. The effects are a dreamy euphoric and it is perfect for muscle relaxation, anxiety, pain relief, and stress alleviation.

OUR TOP 5 SATIVA-DOMINANT FLOWERS

1. Amnesia Haze: If you order weed online and smoke this marijuana, you might have a case of amnesia. It is one of the stronger Sativa breeds and is loved by growers because it has one of the greatest yields of any Sativa strain. This allows them to focus on their process instead of the yield because the yield minimum is guaranteed. It has an uplifting, energetic buzz that is extremely long lasting.
2. Laughing Buddha: This Sativa strain is popular among smokers because you guessed it, it brings on the giggles! Mail order marijuana should be fun! Laughing is just about the best medicine there is and the Laughing Buddha strain is sure to encourage the humour within you and everyone around you. This is a flower you’re going to want to share so that everyone can be on your happy level.
3. Sour Diesel: This beautiful flower gets its name because of its pungent diesel fragrance and gives the smoker a somewhat dreamy cerebral high. This strain has helped me with writer’s block because of the, in turn, qualities.
4. Strawberry Cough: Strawberry Cough is potent and gives the user an extremely uplifting, euphoric high that is good for curbing anxiety and managing stress. It’s a diamond in the rough considering Sativas can tend to induce anxiety instead of curb it.
5. Moby Dick: This strain is loved by all. It has a THC content which makes it one of the strongest strains on the market. It’s known to super-charge the smoker with a buzz and cerebral stimulation.

The Primo community has the final word.

Primo is a cannabis marketplace set to open its doors for the recreational market in 2019. Our desire is to serve Canada from coast to coast with the best weed on the planet. We’re continually building a relationship with large and small-batch licensed producers in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Alberta, and British Columbia. In case you didn’t know, “Primo” is short for premium. Please contact us if you know of a licensed producer that you’d like to see featured in our marketplace. There’s always room for quality.

Accountability

If a licensed producer produces a bad patch of pot or lies to its community about product details, which we have already seen, they should pay the price. With our open market approach, one bad apple won’t ruin it for all of the rest. Primo will give you access to the best-licensed producers to test your favourite strains. The proof is in the pudding.

Philosophy

If these independent growers go toe-to-toe with a licensed producer valued at a billion dollars, they will be forced to spend an outrageous amount of money on marketing instead of focusing on growing and developing their product. This will inevitably increase their overall operation cost which will, in turn, create a higher priced product to the end users, which is YOU. That’s not something we want for the industry, because it’s not like any other industry in the world. Here, the consumer will be able to share products they consider to be Primo – it’s a thing of pride.

CANNABIS OIL CANADA: TOP 10

CANNABIS OIL CANADA

When it comes to Cannabis oil or Hash oil as it’s sometimes called, there is a lot more to consider than just what it looks like or how high the THC content is. From the method of the extraction to the Marijuana plant material that goes in it, each step of the process can have a significant impact on the quality of the final product. With so many new techniques coming to the market as regulations change and producers get more creative all around the world, our job is to know the safest, strongest and most effective ways to consume Cannabis recreationally or medicinally.

How was it grown?

Chemical Pesticides: Health is a very important aspect to any strain and you can’t it can’t be healthy with a bunch of toxic chemicals covering it. Using chemicals as a growing technique is generally frowned upon and a good dispensary will know this detail.

Flushing Prior To Harvest: Without proper pure water flushing before the harvest you will always get a subpar product. We ensure that all growers properly flush their plants prior to harvest for at least 2 weeks. This increases the THC potency and removes leftover nutrients from the flowering stage of growth. Our oils burn clean without extra carbon or nitrogen that can ruin the taste.

EXTRACTION METHODS

Butane hash oil extraction (BHO): BHO is one of the most common methods on extraction for cannabis at this time. Butane as you may be familiar with is a gas used in cigarette lighters. When under pressure the gas forms a liquid which when combined with cannabis plant material in closed loop system will leech cannabis oil out of the plant. Although this method is generally safe for experienced extraction artists it does run the risk of explosion and serious injury. Post extraction, the compound is released from the pressure chamber and goes through multiple purges to remove the Butane. Not all the butane can always be removed and some prefer not to use this method for Oral Cannabis products.

CO2 Supercritical extraction: CO2 extraction is achieved through the use of high pressure and very low temperatures. One of the more technical ways to extract cannabis oil it requires the use of special machinery to compress and turn Carbon Dioxide gas into its liquid form which is then pushed through the Cannabis Plant material removing the oils from it. This process has a number of benefits over traditional solvent extraction processes but the main one is that it doesn’t use a dangerous solvent. CO2, once it’s brought back to room temperature and pressure, just evaporates away on its own with no additional purges needed to purify the oil.

Heat Press (Rosin): One of the simplest ways to extract cannabis oil from Marijuana is the Rosin method. At its core all that is needed is heat and pressure. There are a number of ways you can prep the flowers (or not in the case of Live Rosin) to get more out of them but they are all basically the same. The final product requires no solvents so there are no health concerns with exposure to butane or other hydrocarbon compounds. With whole plant presses it also can appear with a slight greenish hue to the oil produced or if the trichomes are separated with a sieve it will come out more clear.

Ice Water Sieve (Hash): This method doesn’t so much produce oil but rather a resin crumble that some prefer over oil when it comes to smoking Cannabis. The whole plant material is placed in ice water that lowers the temperature of the plant and by extension the Trichomes. At this lower temperature the Trichomes become brittle and break away from the leaves and flowers. They then sink to the bottom of the mixture and through a series of different filters and sieves the final product comes out as a crumbly resin that when warmed slightly will start to liquefy.

OUR TOP WEED EXTRACT CHOICES

Rosin: The final product from the heat press extract method. This style of Cannabis oil has recently started gaining popularity due to its simplicity and lack of any type of solvent used in it. People like that it doesn’t use any chemicals, especially those who use Marijuana oil for medical reasons. Rosin can be consumed orally (Gel Capsules), mixed with honey to form a tincture and taken sublingually, or smoked on a dab setup or in a vape pen.

Live Resin: Getting its name from the fact that the plant material is still living when the extraction process is started, this extraction method typically uses the Ice Water method. Praised for its purity and lack of chemical solvents this is another extract that is popular with the medical marijuana community

Supercritical CO2 vapour pens: Next to Cannabis Oil gel caps, vape pens have to be one of the most discreet ways to enjoy cannabis products. Functioning basically the same as their nicotine cousins, vape pens are perfect for on the go as an alternative to smoking. Using a process referred to as atomization the vape pen has a coil that is heated to a temperature that turns the Hash Oil into a vapour containing tiny molecule sized droplets of the oil that is then inhaled. With no actual fire or burning of the oil these pens are touted as a safer alternative to smoking joints or bongs.

Tinctures: This oral consumption method for Marijuana oil is typically mixed with honey and administered via a plastic syringe type tool or an eyedropper. Great for adding to food or drink, some put it in their tea or coffee to start the day or you can just put a drop under your tongue for faster absorption.

Budder: Similar to live resin but made from cured flowers this wax like substance is high in THC and is easy to manage. The Ice Water method used in this process ensures no solvents are left in the product so it is a clean and healthy way to consume cannabis. Some prefer this product over oils as it is in a solid form and therefore much easier to transport.

FINDING THE BEST WEED VAPE OIL

best weed vape oil in the market

With the Cannabis market exploding over the last couple of years, innovative ways to consume it have popped up.

By far one of the most convenient and discreet methods is weed vape oil. Small, compact, and with no need to use a lighter, these weed vape pens are perfect for on the go. Whether you’re just walking down the street or at a festival it’s super easy to just take a hit or two of your pen and keep going. Here’s a list of the beast weed vape pens and what you need to know before buying a weed vape pen online. Here are the types of extraction methods for making the Cannabis oil used in weed vape pens

Butane hash oil extraction (BHO)

You’ll find the different extraction methods littered throughout our site because we want you to understand exactly what you’re getting. It is one of the most common methods of extraction for cannabis at this time. Butane, as you may be familiar with, is a gas used in cigarette lighters.

CO2 Supercritical extraction

CO2 extraction is achieved through the use of high pressure and very low temperatures.

QUALITY HARDWARE

What’s the point in buying a pen that won’t last you until your extract has run dry? The element in the pen or Coil as it’s called – the right temperature is key to ensure you actually heat the extract at the most efficient temperature. Too hot and the hit is too harsh and tastes burnt, too low and it will flood the chamber and send cannabis oil drop into your mouth. Not enough voltage (strength of the battery) can translate into a wasted product and ineffective delivery methods, meaning you don’t get to enjoy all that your extract has to offer.

THE AMOUNT OF FLUID

Does it actually make a difference if the pen is too full? Yes, you need to make sure that your pen has the right amount of extract in it so that none goes to waste AND so that it burns efficiently.

DO REFILL CARTRIDGES WORK BETTER THAN SINGLE-USE PENS?

This really is up to personal preference. Single-use pens are more convenient as you can just recycle them when they’re finished. They’re also generally smaller in profile so they are a bit more discreet and easy to carry around. Cartridges offer you the ability to swap in and out flavours or strains for whatever you’re feeling like. They also come with a rechargeable battery which is nice but some people don’t want to bother with keeping it charged.

ADDITIVES OR NOT?

Like nicotine vape pens a lot of producers will add in Glycerol to give the vape smoke a more smoke like appearance and feel. Glycerol is a safe additive to use but it’s not really necessary for the pen to work. Some users prefer the feel of weed vape pens with it in but it’s entirely up to you.

QUALITY WEED MAKES THE BEST OIL

You can have the best pen hardware on the market but without AAAA Cannabis going into your extraction setup you’re going to get a sub-par product in the end. Our open marketplace lets the community decide what rises to the top and allows independent licensed growers to showcase their small batch craft cannabis products, including some of the finest cannabis oils for weed vape pens on the market today.

ORGANIC PRACTICES

Health is a major concern when it comes to cannabis consumption and for weed vape pens it’s no different. With the wide range of natural pest controls available today from organic distributors, there is no need for chemical pesticides. UV light filtering is also another natural way to control fungus within a growing facility so fungicides are unnecessary as well. Natural growing practices from our Licensed Independent Growers using small batches is what makes truly good cannabis shine and we want to make sure we support them in that process.

FINDING THE BEST ONLINE DISPENSARY IN CANADA

There are a lot of choices out there today in the online dispensary world. But how do you choose what’s best? What do you need to know before you pick one, what should you look out for? In this article, we go into detail all the things you need to take into consideration before making your decision.

MOST ONLINE DISPENSARIES ARE ILLEGAL

The only companies that are legally allowed to sell Cannabis products in Canada are those that hold a license to do so. They differentiate themselves from the illegal market by referring to themselves as Licensed Producers or LP’s for short. In today’s market, this may not seem like such a big deal to a lot of cannabis consumers but it is. Regulation is what keeps you safe from those who wish to exploit you for profit or from those who don’t care to produce a safe product. Your personal information is extremely vulnerable with an online dispensary and only licensed producers are approved to handle that info safely.

PRODUCT SELECTION

Having access to licensed producers matters more than most people think, especially when it comes to consistency. Street level dispensaries are known to engage in a bait and switch style approach to the products they stock. The majority is a black market so there’s no accountability to consumers and product quality can vary significantly from week to week even though it’s branded as the same cannabis.

SERVICE

We understand every person has a wide range of taste for a number of different reasons and you want to know someone is there 24/7/ 365 days a year and that they care about your needs. Our open marketplace will enable growers to do what they do best: GROW. When you try out a new strain from a grower and it’s some of the best you’ve ever had, you’re going to share it with everyone you know. Our marketplace will enable this mutually beneficial environment for both consumers and licensed growers to foster a positive and respectful community with their customers.

PRODUCT QUALITY

One of the most important issues for cannabis consumers is quality. If you’re wanting high THC content, choose an online dispensary with quality THC product. Cannabis is itself a hardy plant but getting the full potential out of it is somewhat of an art form. Growing safe and clean Cannabis is unquestionable. But illegal dispensaries could be buying from growers that use pesticides such as Myclobutanil, Avermectin, or Etoxazole, and legal LP’s might cut corners. These are things you DO NOT want in your body. We believe there is no need for chemical pesticides with today’s knowledge of natural pest controls. Everything should be tested for chemical fertilizers, hormones, and fungicides. We’re cannabis users too and we don’t want these industrial chemicals in our bodies either.

INDEPENDENT GROWERS

We believe the best way to produce top quality cannabis is to support small batch, independent growers. Small boutique batches get the attention to detail they need to make sure they are clean, safe and of the highest quality possible. Big market producers operate on massive quantity to satisfy their shareholders, often cutting corners to increase profits. This is exactly what we don’t want for our community and making sure the smaller independent growers always have a marketplace to showcase their amazing products is what Primo is all about.

DELIVERY TIME

Delivery time is also really important for many different reasons, namely satisfaction and freshness! Nobody likes stale weed that arrives two weeks late… especially if you depend on it as your source of medicine.

online dispensary

Your Security

Black market dispensaries have proven to irresponsibility use patient information while licensed producers don’t adhere to patient security. This is not something you want to leave up to chance. Many measures must be taken for sites security. But we leave nothing up to chance and won’t fuck around. With our hyper-security infrastructure, there are no opportunities for hackers to compromise your personal data and extremely sensitive information.

We’re a cannabis marketplace set to open its doors for the recreational market in 2018.

6 ALTERNATIVES TO SMOKING CANNABIS

Alternatives To Smoking Cannabis

1. You can vaporize cannabis when it comes in the form of shatter, budder, hash oil, and hash. You can even vaporize dry herb although it is not the most efficient out of the above mentioned in terms of getting really, really stoned.

2. You can enjoy some delicious edibles like candies, cookies, pastries, and infused coconut oil. Just make sure you do your research so that you’re certain the edibles are measured consistently.

3. You can ingestible oils in the form of capsules and Rick Simpson Oil (AKA Phoenix Tears).

4. You can play with tinctures which are infused liquids that are easily dropped in the mouth. Tinctures can customize your high by mixing different ones to attain your desired effects.

5. Lather on some topicals in the form of balms and creams. Perfect for pain alleviation and inflamed muscles or when the topicals are high in THC they still get you buzzed.

6. The big trend right now is called “the dab” which works by flash vaporization in which concentrates are dropped on a heated water-pipe attachment and inhaled for intensely potent effects. You can dab shatter, budder, hash oil, and Supercritical concentrates.

Sure, we all love rolling up primo doobie but it’s nice to have different options. Might be because you have damaged lungs or because you just don’t get that amazing high you once used to. Even the stigmatized image of smoking cannabis might be the one thing holding you back. We are always researching and/or developing new ways for you to enjoy the flower and all of its wonderful medicinal effects.

CANNABIS PRODUCTS: HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT’S EFFECTIVE

CANNABIS PRODUCTS: OIL

Extracts come in a number of forms and are created through different processes of refining the cannabis plant to an essential oil. These cannabis products can aid in medical reasons such as anxiety, chronic pain, PTSD or increased appetite, which is helpful to chemo patients. Another benefit is controlled dosage.  This is particularly of use to medicinal cannabis users that do not want to get overwhelmed by a THC high.  These users are typically consuming cannabis on a daily schedule and want to lead normal lives; intoxication from cannabis products with high THC can hinder their ability to do so.

FORMAT

Gel caps: Gel caps can contain a few different compounds, but Cannabis Oil is the most common.  These pills can contain any number of strains and have a wide range of THC and CBD percentages.

Tinctures: Produced by an alcohol extraction method via ethanol the tincture is prepared by soaking the flowers in the alcohol, then removing the flowers and finally heating the compound to evaporate the remaining alcohol. The resulting liquid is then bottled and administered via eyedropper orally or in some cases topically on the skin (although this has been observed as much less effective depending on purpose).

Sublingual drops: A cannabis extract is combined with honey and administered via an eye dropper or plastic syringe, placing a drop of the substance under the tongue. It is then absorbed through the tissue in the mouth which is quicker than swallowing.

Phoenix Tears: Also known as RSO or Rick Simpson oil, this cannabis product comes from an extraction method using grain alcohol to produce a thick molasses-like oil. It can be ingested in pills or vaporized and has gained a lot of popularity with medical cannabis users with some going as far to claim that it has anti-cancer properties.

STRENGTH

When it comes to determining the most effective THC and CBD Pill product for you, strength is something that has to come into consideration.  As most people who are taking cannabis orally are usually doing so to help with certain medical symptoms, not everyone wants to get high. Knowing the strength of THC and CBD if your chosen product can be the difference between finding relief and being uncomfortably high when it’s not appropriate.  Always make sure your choice has clearly labelled THC and CBD percentages before you buy online. Not everyone has the same needs so no one formula fits all when it comes to cannabis. Here are a few of the most common ratios that are in use for oral Cannabis products:

RATIOS

High THC: THC has been known to help deal with a number of symptoms and the most widely sought-after of those has been pain relief.  Oral consumption has been found to be a better method of using Cannabis for pain relief due to better control of dosage and a more controlled release of THC over a longer period than traditional smoking.  Additionally, a high THC formula will produce a high that when taken in the right setting is a great relief of stress and stress-related symptoms.
High CBD: High CBD formulas are for those who would prefer not to get high while treating their medical needs.  CBD is a non-psychoactive compound but is still a Cannabinoid and is said to relieve a number of symptoms similar to THC.
1:1 (equal parts THC to CBD): This formula is said to be the best of both worlds.  CBD works in concert with THC to moderate some of the more psychoactive effects it has to produce a more balanced experience.

EXTRACTION PROCESS

Heat Press (Rosin): One of the simplest ways to extract cannabis oil from Marijuana is the Rosin method.  At its core, all that is needed is heat and pressure.  There are a number of ways you can prep the flowers (or not in the case of Live Rosin) to get more out of them but they are all basically the same.  The final product requires no solvents so there are no health concerns with exposure to butane or other hydrocarbon compounds and it also appears with a slight greenish hue to the oil produced.
Alcohol solvent extraction: This method uses ethanol or grain alcohol to leech oil the oils from the plant.  Typically plant material is soaked in the solvent for a time as the oils are soluble in alcohol.  Once the soaking is complete the plant material is removed and the mixture brought up in temperature to evaporate the alcohol leaving only cannabis oil behind.
Butane hash oil extraction (BHO): BHO is one of the most common methods of extraction for cannabis at this time.  Butane, as you may be familiar with, is a gas used in cigarette lighters.
CO2, once it’s brought back to room temperature and pressure just evaporates away on its own with no additional purges needed to purify the oil.

There are over 100 different Cannabinoid compounds across the spectrum of Cannabis Products and as time goes on we will discover more and understand the benefits of them, leading to new formulas with more specific uses for symptom relief.
