Have you ever smoked weed and felt insatiably hungry? If the answer is yes, then you know that limited ingredients, as well as time, are of the essence. I have been a munchies chef for quite some time now and have compiled a short list of “Under 5 Minute Recipes” for you to enjoy. Heads up, my recipes require low effort while providing high taste.
1. Cheesy Toast
• Bread Slices (Getting your bread sliced at the store saves you lots of time and labor)
• Cheddar Cheese
• Kosher Salt
• Black Pepper
Pre-heat your oven to 550 degrees F. Put cheddar cheese, pickles, and salami onto each slice of bread and season it with black pepper and salt. Bake for 3 minutes. (Do not forget to turn oven off!) Side note: You can strip this recipe of the last three ingredients without compromising the taste. Enjoy.
2. Vegan Tuna Salad
• Chickpeas aka Vegan Tuna
• Vegan Mayo
Empty a can of chickpeas into a mixing bowl and top it up with about 6-8 tablespoons of vegan mayo. Mush the vegan mayo and the chickpeas together until you get to the consistency of canned tuna. Once that is achieved slice the pickles and the celery, throw them in the mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Enjoy.
3. Cherry Parfait
• Cherry Yoghurt
• Nutty Granola
Place the granola of your choosing into a bowl and top it up with Cherry Yoghurt. This one should really be in the 2-minute category, but given the nature of your operating state after piloting a joint, the 3 extra minutes might go a long way. Enjoy.
4. Chocolate Covered Strawberries
• Bar of milk chocolate
Break the bar of milk chocolate into pieces and throw them into a bowl. Place the bowl into the microwave for 2 minutes (depending on the quality of your microwave you might add or deduct a minute). While your chocolate bar is melting in the microwave, wash your strawberries. Once the chocolate has melted, use a fork to dip your strawberries. Enjoy.
5. Rice Krispy Squares
• Rice Krispies Cereal
• Mini Marshmallows
In a large saucepan over low heat melt ¼ cup butter. Add marshmallows until they are well melted and blended. Add cereal, stirring until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture. Place onto a baking tray covered with wax paper, wrap and shape into a square. Cool for a minute, cut into bars. Enjoy.
